ASTM Subcommittee F15.22 issued a work item to revise its toy safety standard, ASTM F963, regarding microbiological cleanliness.
The work item seeks to:more clearly specify which products are subject to microbiological cleanliness testing; provide additional test protocol options for microbiological cleanliness testing (e.g., the CTFA Microbiology Guidelines and similar); extend cleanliness testing to feather products; and more.
